Guiding Cars at St. Benedict’s Bazaar – 2018

We need ADULT and Scout help to guide cars at the St. Benedict’s Bazaar on August 2nd, 3rd & 4th.    Please SIGNUP for at least one day – more if you can.  We especially need ADULT help this year. Safety vests will be provided.

Timeframes

  • Thursday: 4:30-8pm
  • Friday: 4:30-8pm (need extra help this night)

Scouts can take the bus to the bazaar to enjoy the festivities at the end of their shift.

Parents – we really need your help, please give some of your valuable time.

 

Fireworks Cleanup Project ’18

Please join us WEDNESDAY, July 4TH, at 9am at the AH Middle School.  We’ll be doing some easy pick up from the Fireworks the previous evening.   As a member of Troop 160, it is your DUTY to provide service to our community. Class B uniform, wear Boots and a hat. Bring a bottle of water and a rake.
We should be done by 11am.
If the fireworks show is rained out, then we will gather on Thursday July 5 at 9am.

Shred Fest

Clarks Summit Borough will hold its Shred Fest event from 9 a.m. to noon April 29, 2018 at Clarks Summit Elementary School.

This is your opportunity to earn service hours.

Class B Uniform, Boots, and work gloves.

Four boxes per person will be accepted free of charge, and donations will be accepted. Celebrate Earth Day and recycle your personal papers.

Eagle Project – Ryan Flynn

Let’s help Ryan Flynn with his Eagle Project on April 21, at 8 am – 12pm.

It is a Landscaping project at the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit in the upper Parkin’ lot. 300 School St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411

Wear at least an older class B shirt and boots.

He is  looking for 12-15 Scouts and 5 adults.

There will be food provided.

Scouts are advised to apply sunscreen and bug repellent or bring it with them. 
Also  bring a stack of newspapers from your house and  work gloves.
If you have a shovel or a rake please bring one as well.

Eagle Project – Nate Armstrong – Part II

Thanks to the volunteers last weekend who distributed the fliers.

If you can help Nate by supplying items on this list – that would be great. He will be collecting those items on Sunday, March 18th.
This is a two day project.

We will again meet at 12:45 PM on March 18th at CSUMC to review procedures before we go to recanvas the neighborhoods to collect the donations.  We will meet back at the church after everything is collected which should take about an hour as well.  We will then organize the gifts into age groups, which should take a half hour or so.

Spring Holiday Gift Basket Collection

Sunday, March 11th and Sunday March 18th.

On Sunday, March 11th 1:00 PM at CSUMC, we will discuss neighborhoods, rides, the overall procedure and then we will leave.  It should take about an hour to go around to all of the neighborhoods.

We will meet at 1:00 PM again on March 18th at CSUMC to go over neighborhoods and whatnot one last time before we go to collect the gifts.  We will meet back at the church after everything is collected which should take about an hour as well.  We will then organize the gifts into age groups, which should take a half hour or so.

All Scouts will be in Class A uniforms on both dates.

Eagle Project – Logan Finn

Logan Finn has organized a great Eagle Project and he needs our help.

When: This weekend, March 3 & 4th

Saturday from 9AM to 2PM and Sunday from 12:30PM to 4PM

Where: Dalton Food Pantry – Dalton United Methodist Church 125 S Turnpike Rd, Dalton, PA 18414

Donuts and Pizza will be provided, please bring work gloves and safety glasses if you have them. Also, wear clothes that you do not mind getting paint on.
