Troop 160 has great events planned for the 2015/2016 Scout Year and we have multiple ways to help you be “Thrifty” and earn your own way with a little help from your parent’s.
First: You can sell tickets to the Rotary Club of the Abington’s Taste of the Abingtons event on September 13th. There isn’t a lot of time to act. Every ticket you sell will earn a HUGE $10 into your Scout Account. Get more info.

If you haven’t already returned your Friends of Scouting contribution form, please do so immediately. The Council is critical in ensuring trained adult and youth leaders, in providing quality programs like the recent First Aid Meet, and terrific facilities like Goose Pond Scout Reservation. Thank you for supporting our Council.
Troop 160 and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council offer limited camperships to help families who are unable to afford the full cost of summer camp. Please follow the link below and follow the instructions on page 2 of the attachment. For applications to be considered they MUST be received prior to April 9th in order to give the Troop enough time to review and process your application.

Troop 160 hats are available for $12. These are top-notch quality hats, with a high-quality embroidered logo. They are one-size-fits-all. The Troop committee is making them available for a purchase price of $12. They count an an official uniform component along with the official BSA hat. If a Scout is going to wear a hat when in uniform it must be either the Troop 160 hat or the official BSA hat. No other hats are allowed to be worn when in uniform.
Note that for the Fall 2014 Washington Trip, ONLY the Troop 160 hat is allowed in order to be unique from the other Troops.

Troop 160 starts a new Scouting year on September 4th, 2014 with our traditional Scout picnic at Stan Grove. Scouts meet at the Grove for games and to learn about the upcoming events. Hot Dogs and drinks will be provided and Scouts should wear Class B uniforms.
