Troop 160’s sponsoring organization, the Rotary Club of the Abingtons, is conducting their annual Taste of the Abingtons on October 2nd, 2016 from 2pm – 5pm at the Ramada Inn. This is a great event, and we ask that you participate to show your support for our sponsor.
All families are invited and encouraged to attend.
Scouts will be asked to sign up in advance to help at the event. They will need to be in full uniform and can use this towards service hour requirements.

Our annual Parent & Scout Campout is March 5th & 6th, 2016 at Camp Lackawanna in Vosburg, PA (just north of Tunkhannock). This is an outstanding event and is always very well attended by both Scouts and their dads or moms. There will be a robust program, an introduction to our Troop for Arrow of Light Scouts and their parents, plenty of free time, good food, and an exciting campfire program. On Saturday, November 21st, Scouts have an opportunity earn service hours at the Dalton Food Pantry. We’ll be joining area church youth and other Scouts in sorting food for the Pantry. Thousands (maybe tens of thousands) of items need to be sorted, packed and stored in preparation for supplying families in need this holiday season.
Meet at the Dalton United Methodist Church from 9am-11:30am. Street clothes are fine, though a Class B shirt would be awesome. Check in with Mr. Davis when you arrive and before you leave so we have a record of the number of hours worked.
The pantry is at the rear of the church. Bring a bag of food for the pantry if possible.
Due to the volume of cars it might be better to be dropped off in front of the church and walk to the open door at the right side of the church towards the rear of the property.
Kevin Sebring will be at this week’s meeting at 7pm to once again show samples of the available troop gear that can be ordered. Please print out the attached form and bring it along with you. Payment with a check is preferred. Because of the setup charge that we have to incur, orders will be made once a year.
These are new designs. The jacket is awesome. Come early and check them out!!!
Make it fast and easy – – – fill out the following order form in advance
We are significantly short of help for the French Toast Breakfast. Please go to the sign up page on our website to sign up to bring baked goods and to help work. We need all slots filled for both of those signups.
Many thanks to the few people who offered to donate food items for the breakfast. Your donation is greatly appreciated. We have now ordered all the remaining needed food items. The donation page shows who has donated food, but no more sign ups for donations will be taken.
