All Troop 160 Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and their families are expected to attend the Sunday Service at Clark’s Summit United Methodist Church on February 11th, 2018 to thank the Church for allowing us to use their facilities. It is very important that we have a great turnout. Please attend regardless of your personal faith and please be in full Class A uniform. We will meet in the Fellowship hall at 9:40am to line up and will march in together for the 10am service. Light refreshments are provided following the service.
Join us on Saturday February 10th for an exciting adventure.
All equipment, harnesses, ropes, hardware, axes, and crampons supplied by guide service.
This Friday January 26 at 5pm we need Scouts to help to set up the track for the Pinewood Derby. Class B uniform Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
On Saturday January 27 at 8:30 am we need Scouts to help at the big event on race day. Class A uniform.
Good afternoon Troop 160 – We are following Abington Heights School District snow policy and cancelling scouts tonight. Next week – Klondike and camp out preparations. Leverage this extra time you have tonight and read a chapter of your Scout Handbook.
This Thursday, February 8th is a very important Troop meeting.
We need you and everyone else to attend.
We are holding the Order of the Arrow Elections and we must have a majority of registered Scouts to participate.
The Order of the Arrow is Scouting’s National Honor society.
Date: January 20-21, 2018
Location: Camp Acahela – Lean-to structures
We will organize into Patrols for cooking.
We will discuss guidelines for the menu at the next Troop Meeting.
Each Patrol is responsible for their own food purchase, stove, cooking pots, utensils, and cleanup.
Bring ideas to the next meeting for skills you want to develop: Map and Compass, Fire-Building, First Aid, 5-Mile Hike, etc.
We will not be meeting on December 28, 2017

We will be having a little party at tonights meeting. If you have an ugly sweater – feel free to wear it in lieu of your class A shirt.
White elephant is when you exchange gifts of $5 or less with other Scouts it can be anything, just not worth any real value.
You can be as creative as you want (as long as it is within the spirit of the Scout Oath and Law).
You have to bring a gift to take a gift.

During our Troop 160 meeting, we will have a presentation on the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
Scouts & their Families are welcome (siblings age 11 & older)
This event will count toward Second Class Rank Requirement 7.c: Participate in a school, community, or troop program on the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, and other practices that could be harmful to your health.
