Wanted – Den Chiefs

This is your opportunity as a Boy Scout to mentor Cub Scouts.

Remember when you were a Cub and those Boy Scouts came to your meetings… to tell stories and teach skills. Now it’s your turn to be a good example, someone to look up to, someone to respect.

Cub Scout Pack 160 needs your help:

The Den Leaders really need two Scouts per Den.

We appreciate those Scouts who have stepped forward to volunteer their time and skills. You can see there are still vacancies below:

Brandon Kelleher – Eagle Project

When: Sunday February 26th following Scout Sunday services Where:  Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.

Why: I would like as many scouts as possible to assist me in going out in our local neighborhoods. We will be delivering bags with information regarding donations I am seeking for the St Francis of Assisi Food Pantry. I will be asking for healthier food donations based on the needs of the pantry which feeds over 500 families. While all donations would be greatly appreciated the food pantry finds it hard to provide healthier options to all in need. Some suggestions of donations needed are:
Low sodium canned vegetables
No sugar added fruits
Applesauce and Jelly
Whole grain pasta and macaroni and cheese
Peanut butter
Tuna and
100 percent fruit juices

How: I would also appreciate parents to assist on Sunday with driving the scouts.

Take Action Now: Please go to the Event Signup Sheet to register.

Thank You Sponsors!

Many thanks to the following Sponsors for your generous donation to Troop 160’s 2016 French Toast and Ham Breakfast.

Many Thanks to the Rotary Club of the Abingtons for supporting our breakfast and for sponsoring Troop 160 for over 85 years.

Trevor Sablan’s Eagle Project

Trevor Sablan is having his eagle project at the Abington Area Veteran’s Memorial Park off of State Street in front of Summit Cigar. He will be planting azalea bushes around the gazebo and placing mulch around all trees with the white circles drawn around them. Bring a shovel and work gloves. He will need a couple of adults to help out on this project as well. The project is on October 22nd from 9am-1pm. Lunch will be provided.
